ADVOCATE (CSVA)

A Confidential Sexual Violence Advocates is often one of the first points of contact a survivor of sexual violence has when they reach out for help. CSVAs are a member of the Sexual Assault Response Team that take a
compassionate, trauma-informed approach to victim advocacy, working within sexual violence programs across New Jersey to provide support and resources for survivors. Support
is provided 24 hours a day 7 days a week by hotline and in person when sexual assault is reported.

Calling the Confidential Sexual Violence Hotline gives you
access to a trained Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate
that can assist you in:

JOIN US FOR A 40 HOUR TRAINING AND BECOME AN ADVOCATE
Our no cost 40-hour training will certify you to advocate for people who have experienced sexual violence. The training infuses principles of anti-oppression and multiculturalism in every step. Advocates will gain a strong understanding of how racism, oppression, and inequality intersect with sexual violence, which will help them best serve every survivor they interact with in their role.

Once trained, you will be on call to provide crisis intervention, educational information and resources to survivors of sexual violence. All potential
advocates encouraged to apply.
