The Auto Ownership Program at St. Francis Community Center (LBICC, Inc.) restores donated cars and provides them to eligible parents who need a dependable vehicle to get to work, school, and childcare.
A reliable car creates a reliable path to independence. Many local families on TANF are ready to work and build stability, but without transportation, opportunities stay out of reach.

What you get:
Free pickup anywhere in Ocean County (we can turn in your plates for you)
Tax-deductible donation (to the extent allowed by law)
Direct local impact—your car helps a family in our community
We handle the details—title, plates, towing, and processing
How it works:
Tell us about your vehicle (running or not).
Schedule a free pickup—we handle plates and paperwork.
We assess and repair the car for a local family.
Receive your donation receipt for your records.
Need a Vehicle? (Eligibility)
We partner with the Ocean County Board of Social Services to serve TANF families.
Applicants must:
Be a TANF recipient with a direct referral from the Ocean County Board of Social Services, and
Be participating in WFNJ for career readiness OR currently working / have a verified job offer.
Services we may provide (as available):
Safe, reliable vehicles
Repairs on an existing vehicle
Registration and license fees
Driving school and auto insurance
Non-criminal court fees related to driving
And more based on need and funding
