You're Invited! In the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi, we welcome you and your furry friends to join us tomorrow, October 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM in front of the Brant Beach Church for our annual Blessing of the Animals. Celebrate this special day with St. Francis of Assisi Parish as we honor all of God’s creatures—big and small. From dogs and cats to birds and even a hedgehog, all pets are welcome to receive a blessing. Plus, we’ll be announcing the winner of our Pet Contest during the celebration! Donations of pet food and supplies will also be collected for our local animal shelter - your generosity will help animals in need. Donation List: Treats, Toys, Clothes, Beds, Blankets, Leashes Bring your pets, bring your family, and be part of this beloved tradition.

The popular Women in Business is back for fall. The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce invites members to a special gathering September 23 beginning 10am at 4700 Long Beach Boulevard. This members only empowering event will spotlight St Francis Center's Family Support Services Program, offering attendees a deeper understanding of the vital resources available to families in our community. The morning’s keynote speaker, Breanne LaMarco, Director of the Family Support Services Program, will share insights into the program’s mission, impact, and future goals. A morning designed to foster community connection and professional growth, the event will feature a tour of the facility, including its recreational spaces, food pantries, and personal hygiene donation areas. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with fellow chamber members, engage with our hosts, and explore ways to support local families. Light refreshments will be served, creating a welcoming atmosphere for meaningful conversations and collaboration. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products to help stock the pantry and support those in need.
