Family Health & Safety Fair Brings Community Together at St. Francis

St. Francis Community Center welcomed the community today for our Family Health & Safety Fair, a special event focused on wellness, education, and support.

Held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, the fair gave attendees access to free health screenings, helpful safety information, and valuable community resources. Screenings included blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, stroke risk, hearing screenings, balance screenings, trauma education, AED and CPR demos, and more. Guests could also receive a pharmaceutical medication and interaction check by bringing their medications and supplements.

Attendees also had the opportunity to learn more about senior services, NJ Family Care, fitness, family services, community counseling, volunteer opportunities, legal services, and other health and safety resources.

We were grateful to welcome community partners including the Ocean County Fire Marshal, Long Beach Island Health Department, Long Beach Township Police Department, and Long Beach Township Beach Patrol. A special thank you to Hackensack Meridian Southern Ocean Medical Center and the Long Beach Island Health Department for their support of this event.

The day also included a free continental breakfast and time for community members to connect, ask questions, and visit the many tables and demonstrations offered throughout the fair.
