On Sunday, October 11, 2026, the Long Beach Island community came together for a race we will never forget!
Despite the pouring rain, challenging wind, and less than favorable conditions, the determination, dedication, and spirit of everyone involved made this year's event truly remarkable.
To our incredible volunteers, local police departments, law enforcement agencies, EMS personnel, lifeguards, first responders, public works departments, and race support teams: THANK YOU!
From the starting line in Holgate to the finish lines in Long Beach Township and Barnegat Light, your hard work, commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond ensured that our runners were supported every step of the way.
And to our amazing runners: You showed up, pushed through the elements, and demonstrated incredible perseverance. Your enthusiasm and determination are what make this race so special year after year.
For 54 years, this race has been more than just miles on a course. It has been a celebration of community, tradition, and the extraordinary people who make Long Beach Island such a special place.
This year's race was a true testament to that spirit.
The weather may not have been perfect, but the people certainly were.
