Spreading the Gift of Warmth: A Community Thank You

This year’s Gift of Warmth project showed just how strong and generous our Long Beach Island community really is. What started as a simple effort to collect coats, pajamas, hats, and other warm clothing became a true island-wide collaboration to care for local children and families.

A huge part of that success came from LBI Girlfriends, who stepped up to sort, pack, and wrap donations so they were ready to be shared with dignity and love. Behind the scenes, The SandPaper played a key role by helping move all of the gifts from St. Francis to Surf City Church, making sure everything got where it needed to go.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors: G. Anderson Agency, Brant Beach Yacht Club, Zion Lutheran Church, United Methodist, Lori Knox – Operation Pajamas, Van Dyk Group, the Coast Guard, Empowering Women Thru Motion, and the teachers of Southern Regional Middle School—as well as our host partners Mud City, Old Causeway, Local Market, How You Brewin’, ScoJo’s, and LBI Table, who helped make giving easy and visible across the island.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who donated. There are so many of you, and together you’ve made the end of the year brighter and warmer for neighbors who needed a little extra care.
