St. Francis Men’s Basketball League Makes Its Comeback

St. Francis Community Basketball is officially back! After a long break, the St. Francis Men’s Basketball League returned this spring with five teams competing in its first season back. The league brought together players from the community for a fun and competitive season, with participants signing up either as individuals or as full teams.

This spring season marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the program. Moving forward, the goal is to offer two seasons each year, one in the fall and one in the spring, giving more players the opportunity to get involved and enjoy the game.

For its first season back, the league featured five teams: Maroon, Yellow, Blue, Green, and Red. Maroon finished the regular season undefeated at 8-0, earning the top seed heading into the playoffs.

Final Regular Season Standings

  1. Maroon: 8-0

  2. Yellow: 5-3

  3. Blue: 4-4

  4. Green: 2-6

  5. Red: 1-7

Playoff Schedule

The playoffs began on Wednesday, June 3, with Green taking on Red in the play-in game.

The semifinals will take place on Thursday, June 4:

6:00 PM: Maroon vs. Winner of Green/Red
7:00 PM: Yellow vs. Blue

The championship game is scheduled for Thursday, June 11 at 6:00 PM, featuring the winners of both semifinal matchups.

As the league continues to grow and regain momentum, St. Francis looks forward to expanding team participation and introducing future sponsorship opportunities.

Most importantly, St. Francis Community Basketball is making a comeback, and this spring season is just the beginning.
